Hello everyone, I am working on writing my first book which will take the majority of the year to complete. In the mean time, I have to create some digital projects. I plan on creating an online course. I am trying not to be spread too thin. It is very easy for me to try to do courses, group coaching, conference and etc.
Hello ladies,
For your product branding needs I have a tip for you. I’ve recently started testing the look of different merchandise for our company (coffee mugs, pens, etc) I used the local FedEx Kinkos to print the items to see what the initial design looks like. For larger quantities I’ll use a different vendor but this is a good short term solution.

Hello Sisters,
One of the long term goals I have for my business is to develop a women’s business accessory collection. For those who may not know, I went to the High School of Fashion Industries then got my BS in fashion design. I spent a few years as a technical designer. Though I have changed careers, I still have the passion inside me and believe this is a great extension of my brand. Does anyone have any recommendations or resources on international sourcing? I live in NYC the fashion capital but looking to have less expenses.

Hello ladies,
I’m so excited to share this news! During the 2007 recession, I felt led to write a book, for many reasons and one of them is my experience working in the Banking industry. But, I never did.
Now, I understand why I was given that vision. The past year has been full of soul searching and prayer to get clarity on exactly what I offer and recently it came.
Along with the clarity is the reminder to write the book 🙂 Sometimes we are given the idea and birthing that idea will come later but what I’ve come to understand is that we have to be open at all times to hear God directing us.
Same here. I really wasn’t clear in my business. Now that I am, the ideas are flowing. I finally have an idea for my book and plan to start writing it this fall. To get the first draft out, I plan to have a few friends interview me and get the audio transcribed. I spent too much time looking at a blank screen on the computer.

That is a great approach Shemeka! It can speed up the time to get it done and also the interviews you can use for a podcast of videos later. Great idea!

Hello Deneen,
It would be based on your overall expenses and how much you would need to make a good profit.

You may know that I host Clarity Retreats each year in MI. Typically it has been in January and this year (2020) I will be having it in March.
Here is the NEW thing I am doing and I would LOVE some feedback. I will host a Clarity Business Retreat in Atlanta, GA in November. YIKES! I am looking at a beautiful historic home to rent for the Retreat work with the participants staying at nearby hotels and coming to the house each day (3 full days) for the Retreat time.
Okay, here are a few things I am still thinking about and would like some thoughts around:
1. How many women should I host? (I am thinking 12-20)
2. How many meals should I provide? (I am thinking we would find hotels with breakfast included and I would provide 2 dinners and one lunch; they would be responsible for 2 lunches)
The work is around Clarity for your God-centered Business.
3. What topics would you expect to cover at the Retreat if it was presented this way?
Thanks for your time! LOVE being able to pick your brain.
It would be based on your overall expenses and how much you would need to make a good profit.

Hello Ladies,
Any recommendations on selling merchandise online? I’m looking to sell coffee mugs and a planner that aligns to our brand and would prefer a company that can ship one at a time vs. purchasing in bulk and shipping from our office. I would love any insight or tips you might have on this process. Thanks

LaDawn,
I am actually interested in this also. It would be wonderful not to have to ship things yourself.
I just did a quick search and found Clove&Twine.com
That may be a place to start. 🙂

Hello Audacious Faith sisters,
I am working on developing a new online course and coaching program. I would like to have a focus group with my target audience. Do you have any tips you can share? I plan to post questions on social media and survey my email list.
Hi Shemeka! I noticed that you do manage an online community with your Facebook group. Congrats! That is a great place for you to survey as well as your email list. Inside of the group you have the options to create poll questions that can spark great discussions. An approach that I find works will is just ask your members the challenges they are facing, what they want from you and how you can help them achieve the results they desire. Please respond and let me know if you have additional questions or need more help on this.

As a consumer of products and services that help you grow your business, What is your preferred way to get to know a new coach you are interested in? Do you like to watch them on video? Read their blog? Follow them on Social Media? AND, what type of content will you initially buy from them? A book? A course?
I like to follow on social media. I then attend webinars and purchase a book to get started. I have to see if their teaching style matches my learning style. Since I am an educator, solid content is important to me.

What are some platforms that you guys use to get your product development started? My niche is very detailed around getting people to healing from different setbacks in life, but mostly recovering from the death of a loved one, or to target the person who is in need of a program that streamlines conversation around mental health. I have seven steps that I want to put into a workable program. Don’t know where to start….
Hi Karen,
If you are selling online courses Teachable is a platform that I use. When creating that product keep in mind:
-What problem are you trying to solve for the client but remembering everything is a process. Is this product for the person at the start, middle or end of whatever issue you help them with?
-How involved do you have to be in helping the client with the product?
-What education will the client need, along with the product, to gain the most success?
Any other questions post below.

Oh wow that is good information and I am going to narrow it down by the steps you mentioned and If anything pops out I will reach back out, and thanks for the comment on how to price it, Budget goals are amazing.
Thanks

Hey LaDawn I just wanted to give you an update on teachable and I, so far it is easy I think I am over thinking what to put into the program and not. So I have started learning how to narrow it down and what is best to put up and not to put up and I am loving it thus far. Will let you know when it goes live. Thanks again.

Hi Deneen, I have found the best way to price my products is to understand what the out come will be and what would be the cost be to the client to not have that result. If my client will increase their productivity by 20% what would the value of that be. Knowing what my time is worth allows can figure out what time will be invested into the service or product. We tend to dismiss the value of our time, our knowledge and the things that come natural to us. – Cathy Sexton
Great way to measure the results! Good tip. Thanks for sharing.

I am very good at creating content and developing courses in the online space. My problem comes when I want to price my products. What is a good strategy for doing that? Is there a formula to follow?
Great question! The best way to address this is to look at the overall strategy of the business. For example, someone having the most access to you (private coaching or VIP day) would be a premium price. Self-study/DIY programs would be priced at lowest and then something with a mix of online & personal support (in a group or limited one to one with you) would b a middle of the road price.
When I’m creating pricing I start with the end in mind by asking what is the sales goal for my company this year? I pray about it and then layout my prices accordingly but totally keeping in mind that we make plans and God will tell us what he wants to be done.
For example, if I want to make 100,000 USD in a year, I could offer:
10 $10K packages
50 customers at $2000 (4 a month)
The biggest piece of this is also making the call as the CEO in your business how much private support do you want to provide. The biggest tip I can give you is to leverage the content you have and use that as a way to scale the business. My first year in business I had too many private clients and then started the online programs to relieve more of my time.
