  2. I have been working on automating my business this year. I have been making progress finding the right tools and building out my systems. It is taking a lot of work to set things up first, but then I am amaze at how much time I am saving on administrative tasks. I want to spend more time on money making activities.

  4. I wanted to let you know that I have a new ‘tool’ for you as we start 2020. It is a pdf that instructs & motivates you to create 20 new habits this year by adding two per month. Detailed instructions are on my YouTube channel and the pdf link is there too.
It is called the the 3R Strategy: Reminder, Routine, Reward.
This strategy is awesome because it does not rely on you having ‘will-power’. It relies on you making a decision, creating a plan, and following through with what you say you will do.
No excuses, no procrastination. . . and as Nike says, Just Do It.

    • This is awesome Deneen a very much needed tool. Thanks for sharing

    • Deneen, this new tool you have created sounds so life giving! You are so intuitive and I appreciate you sharing this gift God has given you.

  5. This week as I was writing the BLOG about Habits of Successful People, I realized that I am in good shape in that I do many of the things I researched. 🙂 That makes me happy. What are those Habits?
    Get enough sleep
    Prioritize personal care
    Get up early
    Take time for focused thinking
    Read books
Spend time with those who inspire you
    Pursue your own goals
    Have multiple streams of income

Oh yeah, since I do everything in 8s, there are eight. 🙂

What are you doing to be a Successful Woman of Audacious Faith?

  6. Creating habits is easy if you know the formula. It is not about having more willpower or even being motivated. It is about decision.
Decide to create a REMINDER. That is, something physical that will trigger the behavior you want to start (or stop).
Decide to do the ROUTINE. That is, when the reminder happens, just do the behavior your decided to do (no excuses).
Decide to give yourself a REWARD. That is, notice how you feel or look. OR, make it something tangible once you reach your goal.

How have you created habits in your life?

  7. Hi Deneen, I think all of use struggle with time management from time to time if not always. When I am having one of those days, stress is generally on it’s way. I try to catch myself before I let the stress take over my day, stop and re-prioritize my day to make sure I am working on the thing that must get done that day, priority is key for me. ~ Cathy

    • What a great strategy. 🙂

    • Cathy,
I like your action to catch yourself “before” you let the stress take over your day. It takes discipline to stay in that state of awareness.
      Thank you!

    • Jackie I agree. You must clear out the clutter to allow space for the new. I too found that I didn’t “count” any activity if it wasn’t business related. However, I had a lot going on this past year. I moved into a new house with left over furniture from other family members. I found that all the extra clutter was distracting me from starting/building my business. I took the time to clear the clutter. Amazing how that helped. I am now able to focus better.

Now I am taking actions, small actions to simply keep moving forward on the business. I liken this to building a house. Any action I take towards building the business is another brick on the foundation. Right now I am writing my story, so I can be ready to do a talk or workshop soon.

  8. I have found that many women struggle with time management when it comes to work, family, and other responsibilities. Is this true for you?
How do you feel when there is too much to do in a day and not enough time to get it all done? What solutions have you tried?

    • I just finished reading the book the ONE thing, which is available in the library book section of this site. I am learning that in order to go big, I must go small. I have started to cut back on a lot of things that kept me busy but not productive in achieving my goals.

    • I used to feel I only accomplished something that was business related, acting as if the day-to-day to-do’s didn’t count at all! The truth is that daily life takes up time.

Unfortunately, I keep a lot of stuff to do in my head. Karen Fox told me to write everything down that needed to be done to get it out of my head and onto the paper. That doesn’t mean “acting” on everything.

I’m working on just taking 3 of those things and writing them down with the goal to complete them in a day. Some tasks may be so big, like setting up an email autoresponder, or working on website changes which may be only one thing you work on.

Another mentor, Jill Farmer, who wrote a great book called There’s Not Enough Time and Other Lies We Tell Ourselves, says to knock out a bunch of those little things that hang over your head like making a doctor’s appointment or re-upping a library book. It makes you feel good because you’ve accomplished something and it takes very little time. Way less time than stewing over it!

It takes constant awareness to stay focused and stick to it! Hope that helps.
