  1. Attracting your first 1000 followers is fabulous.

    • I have been hovering around the 700+ mark for some time. I really want to break 1,000 in the upcoming year.

  2. Hello ladies,
Here is a tip on sending out a weekly newsletter. First, its good to know that email marketing is not dead and with this in mind I’ve made a few tweaks and now call our newsletter a ‘weekly publication’.

In reaching out to a few prospective clients I’ve asked, when they decline to set a meeting, “Can I share with you our weekly news publication?”

The responses have been yes 100% so far! And the publication is just a new name for the newsletter.

Try this strategy or think of a terminology that would resonate with your community.

    Happy list building

  3. Hello Ladies,
Over the past few weeks, I’ve tested out creating a FB group to draw in leads. It is working, in the past 2 weeks, we took the group from a size 18 to now 67 members. The goal is 1,000 by December. Here is what we are doing:

    1) Became very clear on the type of client I work with and pushed that specific message. In this case, we work with delivering Revenue Growth Strategy to corporates and also teach business owners how to sell to corporate. The FB group is for those that sell to corporate
    2) Instead of doing live streams on FB and IG the live stream is only in the FB group and then I share apart of that live stream to IG with a call to action if they want to see the full training they need to come over and join the group
    3) We ask questions when they request to join the group, one of the questions is asking “did you receive our free training? if not add your email address below” With this we add them to the email list and send a reminder each week to when we are going live
    4) We have daily posts to increase engagement. It is a question about something that is a challenge in their business and others are to celebrate wins.
    5) Each new member or group of members is asked to share with the group what their business does. This is a prospecting tool that I then reach out to those we identify are prospects and invite them to a free call.

Results. 2 consultations booked with ideal clients for next week.

I’ll keep you posted but this FB group is a good idea to grow leads.

  4. Hi Amazing Ladies, In our Strategy Day Session Deneen asked us to email her our 3-month goals but I do not see her email to send it to her. Does anyone know how I can get this information?

    • Hi Carla, WELCOME! Here is Deneen’s email address. deneentb@gmail.com
I am sure she will be thrilled to hear from you.
Most of her contact information is in the member list in the drop down.
Welcome to the wonderful, spirit filled community of women, Audacious Faith. I look forward to getting to know you.

    • Welcome Carla to the group!

  5. Hi, I am a new member and I am wanting some feedback on the email script to send out to connect with others like Deneen talked about in our last Strategy Day. I am not sure this is the correct place to post it so if not let me know and I can go to the right area for the feedback. I would love any feedback you may have.

My ministry/business is geared toward women that have a pattern of bad relationship after the next and not realizing the value within themselves. I help them develop a positive mindset and habits to help them begin to see their own value-self-worth.

    My Email Script;
I was so thrilled that we have connected on ___________. I know your time is valuable but I just wanted to give you a quick hello to let you know I was thinking about you. I would love to know more about you and how I can serve you.
I hope you are staying healthy and safe. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    Walking Into Greatness,
    Carla

    I appreciate your feedback.

    • Welcome, I know it is a little late. 🙂 Glad you are HERE.

    • Hey amazing ladies! I put a post on here on August 21st about a script that I was wanting feedback on if it would sound good or not. I do not see any comments. Is there somewhere else I am supposed to look at to see any feedback or is the correct place where it would be?

  6. Greetings ladies! If you have not already completed the Market Domination Blueprint Training it is a must watch ASAP!

After months of creating graphics and doing live streams my business started to receive some traction but not enough and also the process seemed as if I could make it easier to execute. The training Lethia has given (can be found to the right in this section under Training & Resources) is simple to follow and powerful!

  7. I have finally finished and launched my first quiz. Feel free to take it and give me your feedback http://www.ShemekaBrathwaite.com/quiz

I have have went through many versions of the name for this quiz and got a lot of feedback. Overall, people wanted something that was catchy and fun.
It took some time but it was worth it. I would tweak it over time. My next step is to do some social media ads to drive it forward. I also will use this more than the generic lead tool because the quiz is an easy social share.

  8. Hello Ladies,
For those that use LinkedIn for marketing I’ve just completed a 2 month study on my personal brand and I’ve found that posts with your image or sharing something about your life (networking, meetings, etc) gets a large amount of engagement.

Also, when posting videos to the site try to upload the actual video (10 minutes or under in length) vs. adding a external link, this gets more traction.

    Keep moving forward!

    • I started adding more personal posts and it seems to perform better than the business posts. I certainly will be doing this more often.

    • That’s great to hear Shemeka!

  9. Hello Sisters,

I am working on a quiz and need assistance on the name of it. In my brand,
my clients will fall into one of four personas (The Cultivator, The Creator, The Enhancer or The Patron). You can dominate and excel in one. At other times, giving a situation, you have to make the decision take on the persona of one of the other archetypes. Overall, the personas relate to the combination of the individual’s performance, productivity, energy, time commitments and skill strengths. I will include the overall description, the strengths and the weakness of each when individuals receive their results. I am drawing a blank. The only thing I can think of is “What is Your Productivity Persona’s Sweet Spot? Take this quiz to find out.

    • Did you finally decide on a name after our quick brainstorm the other night on the Masterclass?

    • Shemeka,
I really like the idea of the quiz. Maybe add a twist to it to focus more on the “Productivity” vs. the “Persona”. A few examples are:

      Productivity Mastery quiz?
      Productivity for Creatives quiz?

You are on the right track!

    • Hello Sisters,
Thank you for your contribution on the mastermind call on Monday. I really appreciate the feedback. I have narrowed it down to a few an placed a poll in my private Facebook group. I want to make sure that what I select is very easy to grasp. I will let everyone know what the final results and post the quiz here once it is complete.

    • Great tips!

    • I am staying away from High Performance Indicator since that is a trademarked assessment by Brandon Bruchard. After talking to my accountability peer Ashely and agree that High-performance is a key word for my audience. I plan to call it high performance persona. the graphic card really will help to pull it together.

    • I took your quiz and thought it was well thought out. There were a couple that really didn’t fit me but I found the best answer.
      I am the Enhancer.

    • Thank you Diann for taking the quiz. I will improve on the questions and the summary report over time.

  10. I Plan to start launching my first online course later this spring. I plan to use SendOwl to help me create affiliate links for people in my network that I know. What is a good rate? 30%, 40%, or 50%? I plan on sending them a personal email with the information. Anything else I should have in place?

    • I don’t think affiliate rates are that much. Not sure though. I have heard 20%-25% is good. I may be wrong. 😉

    • I think I would start out with 20% and see how it goes.

  11. Hi Sisters! As part of the Strategy Day on 2/19/20 we were encouraged to upload a video.

Since I am building a signature system that has Mindset Mastery as a core element, I thought I’d attach a recent video called “How to Demolish Negative Thinking”. After yesterday’s script training from Deneen TB I’d like to re-create this with better engagement CTAs. (The final CTA is really poor) But I wanted to share this video as is to receive any feedback you would like to offer. Thanks in advance for anything you’d like to share with me! Here’s the link:

    • Hi Kathleen, The video is nice. I think it will improve when you put the HOT Script into place. My first question is, Where do you plan to show this video? FB, IG, YT? It is short for YT but the content is great.

I love your background (a.k.a., set) the plants and the believe sign make a nice touch. You are very comfortable with the camera too. In this version you are taking long to get into the meat of what you are going to say. As you rewrite it look for ways to incorporate the script.

E.g., start directly with something like- I have 5 R words to help you demolish negative thinking. There is no need to rush through your 5 R words. I didn’t catch the 2nd one. Make sure your hands are in the frame (you will feel they are in your face but it looks good on video) if you are going to number them (which is a good strategy so people can go back to that section).

Your story was good in here. I would tighten it up to follow a zero to hero arc- a.k.a., here I was with negative thoughts, I sat down to do the exercise, I then heard the birds. (I hope that makes sense.)

You are right about the CTA. I would have told the story and explained the tool and let them know it was available for them to use too. By telling the story they know you get them. This may make the video longer if you continue to explain how they can use the tool just like you did in your story. I create ‘freebie’ things all the time when I am trying to grow my list.

Again, all the technical items are good. Your a very natural on video, it is a good medium for you.

    • Kathleen, Great job on your video. Here are the things I thought you did really well and opportunities to make the video even better.

      Things that worked well:
      1) The camera loves you and you look great on camera.
      2) You came across very professional.
      3) Your set looks really good.
      4) The quality of the audio and video are really good.
      5) Your content is strong, useful and interesting.
      6) Overall the length of the video is good depending on how you plan to use it. For SEO you want to stay under 4 mins but for sales conversion you want to go for 5+ mins.

      Opportunities to become even better:
      1) Continue working to share your message using the script Deneen shared.
      2) Raise your camera up a little so we can see the brightness of your eyes. When we look down into the camera it makes us look less vibrant and a little sleepy.
      3) Open with a really strong hook to make us want to listen to the whole message.
      4) When going over a numbered list, only hold up the number on your fingers for a few seconds instead of throughout the whole point. Also bring your hands closer to your body instead of towards the camera. When we hold our hands close to the camera they appear waaaaayyyy bigger than our head and it looks weird LOL.
      5) You can use props to make the message more engaging. For example you could show a sheet with a line drawn down the middle with text on each side for the point you made in your video.

Again you did a great job and I was sooo excited to review your video.

    • Thank you so much Deneen and Lethia for the awesome feedback.

I began these videos as a warmup to a 5-min podcast weekly podcast I want to do. I share them each week to my email followers, and also to FB and IGTV, thus I try to keep them very short so people actually watch them. But… I’d like to begin creating for a YouTube channel. So… how to manage time across platforms is still uncertain.

Thank you again for the positive/affirmations and very the helpful info. I will incorporate it into videos going forward. 🙂

  12. @Turiya, thank you. This is very informative. I get most of my dress design business from my business FB. I try to post the different stages of the garment as it is being created. Linked in does not seem like a likely platform for new business. What do you think?

    • Hi Diann!

Thank you for sharing! One of the most important thing you need to know when it comes to social media is where your audience is “hanging out”. And I’m glad that you have identified that it’s Facebook. Facebook is a great place for you to take your audience on a journey, share your story and give a peek behind the scenes on your business.

LinkedIn on the other hand will be a great place for you to connect with other businesses or organizations that have the clientele you want to serve and start to build relationships with them. Who or what are other businesses that you would like to connect with that have the women that you would like to serve?

  13. Hello everyone! I asked this question in my Facebook group and I would like to get your feedback as well. When it comes to creating your social media content plan, what is the biggest challenge that you face?
    1. I don’t know what content to share
    2. Things are always changing in my business
    3. Don’t have the time

Here are 4 reasons why you need to have a social media content plan:

    1. Show up consistently on social media – no more stop and start social media.

    2. Be seen as the expert – showcase your expertise and build your authority online. Start to think about how can you serve your tribe/ audience?

    3. Build up your influence – extend your reach by getting your message out in the marketplace

    4. Build collaborative relationships – when other influencers connect with you on social media they should be able to see your expertise.

Let me know your thoughts and feedback.

  14. Hello Everyone! I have been working on my lead tool and sales funnel since we had our last strategy day. I had a lot of work to do first by clarifying who is my audience and my positional statement.

I work with educational innovators who want to increase their influence and have a greater impact. [I was considering using the word innovators and disruptors, let me know your thoughts]. The topics covered under my EdYOUpenuers International brand would be branding and executive presence for educational leaders. I feel that this is a natural right mix to combine my 10 years int the fashion industry and education industries.

My B2B audience would be Edupenuers, ed-tech companies, foundations, non-profits, ed service providers and universities. My B2C would be people who work within these organizations.

I was able to find a really cool free tool called Drip Scripts to help my work through email sequences. Thank God, because I really got stuck when trying to plan out my email sequence. I also found Textiful that is affordable for me to do join to text.

Now that I have made it this far in my journey, I am now stuck with identifying the right lead magnet that I can create and have available online:
A- Quiz that assesses their influence and executive presence.
    B- 3 Part Video Training
    C- Checklist or tip sheet

Please let me know your thoughts and feedback.

    • Shemeka, sounds like you are using all the tools you are being taught. I like the quiz that assesses their influence. You will want to keep it short. I like it because you will have their information. I like the 3 part training video because it shows your expertise. LOVE! and the check list is great info for quick reference for a potential client. I think they are all good and have their own advantages. I think I like A and B the most. love you sister.

    • Hi Shemeka! Super excited about the progress that you are making especially after our strategy session. I love the idea of doing a 3 – part video training. I think using video is a great way for you to showcase your expertise! Also, let me know what your experience is like using Drip Scripts.

    • Did you get any feedback about this Shemeka? Is this one of the things you brought up in a Masterclass? What did you end up deciding on?

Sorry I did not see this.

  15. Hello,
I want am wanting to get started posting regularly on social media so I can start getting out there. How do I go about getting started? The overall topic is halting and reversing chronic illness. Secondly, I think I will focus on meal prepping ideas, quotes and motivation to start. I am still working on narrowing down my target audience. – Peggy

    • You are on the right track, Peggy. You have to know your target audience. Then I suggest choosing 2 platforms were your audience is hanging out and you are willing to spend time to engage with your audience on. It is called SOCIAL for a reason. LOL I believe in the Pareto Principle so 80% of the time you share great information to benefit your audience and then you have earned the right to the 20% to blatantly advertising your service or product.

    • Hi Peggy! I’m happy to share another way to get started with social media is have a planned time that you will work on your social media content so that once you get started you will be able to remain consistent. Just like everything else in your business you have to schedule time for it. Dedicate 1 -2 hours just to writing content and then you can post the content on a daily schedule.

  17. I recommend that everyone should be on at least 3 platforms on social media. I tell them to begin with where their ideal clients are hanging out, not necessarily the platform they prefer. I also tell them to build to three they can do well, working on one at a time.

My main platforms are LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. I have also added YouTube (not really social but it drives traffic).

What do you think about this advice?

    • Hi Deneen! I agree! By know we know the questions isn’t should we be on social media, it’s where should we be and what to do. Often times I see business owners setup accounts on all platforms and struggle to manage because they don’t have a clear plan or strategy for each platform. Also, the key is understanding that each platform is different, for example Facebook, YouTube and Instagram all thrive on videos but the difference is the type of videos that go over well with your audience on those platforms. In addition to being where you ideals clients are, another thing to consider is your mode of content creation. Knowing which type of content you able to produce easily (written, video, or audio).

    • Thanks Turiya. It is always good to know you are giving good advice. AND, content creation is so important. I know it can be tricky for many. I love the batching method. I actually have my social media themes and topics finished for the entire year. 🙂

    • Great tips! I’ve been wanting to mix up my social media especially the platforms and approach. Thanks for the tips!

    • Wow Deneen! I’m so impressed that you have your calendar mapped out for the year. I can’t seem to get started for a week. I find social media to be overwhelming and sucks the life out of me along with a lot of time.

What suggestions do you have to make it easy? I don’t even know how to start with a plan. I know that the majority of my audience are women 40-65 (65%) and men 40-65 (35%)

    • Jackie, The best way to get started on planning your Social Media content is to think about what you want to teach, inspire, and/or tell to your audience. I suggest finding 12 main Themes and then filling in four or five topics under each one.
I have it easy since my book contains 12 Biblical Women and the business principles they teach. I look at what they teach and break it down. It is really about breaking it down into bite-sized pieces.
Remember, each post is just a morsel of what the whole is. AND, you have to say it over and over again for it to stick. 🙂
I hope that gets you started.

    • Hello Deneen,

I am on all of the major social media sites. My clients are on LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter but I am so hooked and stuck on Facebook. I have been retraining myself to enjoy the other sites. As for planning, I am a great planner and have also planned out a year worth of social media content but I struggle with implementation.

  18. Anyone have sample emails to use for sending to potential Business 2 Business clients on LinkedIn? Open to any other tips or strategy are welcome.

    • LaDawn, I know for LinkedIn you can really connect quickly by establishing relationships with key people within the company. Have you used the Sales Intelligence Tool here in Audacious Faith to pinpoint those people? I think the search in LinkedIn is a great tool too.

My point is that it is not about having emails with LinkedIn, it is about connecting quickly over LinkedIn messaging to get the appointment to present your offer.

Are you looking for some other way? Not sure I helped. 🙂

    • Thanks Deneen! I forgot about the tool 🙂

    • LaDawn, I do use simple scripts to connect with those who asked me to connect that I don’t know personally. Is that what you were referring to? Otherwise I agree with Deneen to just be real and connect organically.

    • Hi, the LinkedIn connections are going well. Any scripts you can share would be welcome.

    • Hello LaDawn,

I used a script in the past, but I have to tweak it so it can be more conversational and authentic.

Deneen, I need help understanding how to use the sales intelligence tool. It seems to not work for me when i try it.

  19. I am in the process of narrowing my tribe/niche and need to create a marketing strategy that will help me to find my new tribe members. Any suggestions? ~ Cathy

    • Hi Cathy,
Totally understand where you’re at. Here are a few things to consider:
      -Who is your target market?
-Where do they hang out online? Specifically which platforms?
-What is top of mind for them to hear?
-What problem are they having that you solve?
      -How do they consume information?

I would reach out to a few people that might be ideal clients or even past clients, ask them for 10 minutes & if they would be open to a market research study. I would try to get as many people on the phone as possible, if they aren’t available use an online survey like SurveyMonkey to ask the questions, try to keep it to around 5 or 6.

      Hope that helps

    • Hello Cathy and LaDawn,

I am working too on clarifying my target audience. I recently heard a podcast on niches where the speaker was so targeted. She speaks to farmers on succession planning and family mediation. I didn’t know that people can get so niched.

So far I know my target audience is S.L.A.Y. which is Service providers, Ladies, Artists and Young professionals.

I am now trying to narrow it down to specific industries. One of them is certainly education, since I am an educator and currently work in higher education. I have a passion for the education field and people who desire to make an impact. My message is teaching others how to discover and leverage their distinctive factor in their careers/organizations to make a distinctive impact. I used to working in the fashion industry, but not sure if they are a group for my message.

Any advice on the audience I should target would be greatly appreciated.
